Sounding clever without saying anything in a meeting

Hello. Just to be clear, if I knew what I needed translating I would post over at the other place.

I have recently become a member of a committee and there are sooooo many meetings on zoom. A lot of the time, they ask me what I think but tbh I have no opinion at all as I am struggling to understand some of the finer points, and when I do understand it really is a dull point, or something that someone more directly involved should deal with. But, as I am weirdly high up in this committee, they often ask me what I think.

I could really use a couple of set phrases that I can roll out to show I understand the issue or that I heard the discussion, but that I must defer to someone else, without me looking stupid preferably. Remember in Father Ted when they taught Jack to answer any religious question with the phrase “that would be an ecumenical matter”? Well, something like that.

Please don’t remove my request as a translation request, I have a meeting soon and this is more about set phrases that are common in meeting parlance…. thanks!
