What are the requirements for a Japanese company wanting to sponsor my visa?

Trying to get a sense of how it works from the other side.

Say a company has indicated that it wants to support me in a visa application, for example, a hotel wants to hire me to manage guests. What does it need to do?

Does the visa have to be in one of the categories specifically indicated in the wiki? Would I have to qualify as someone highly skilled (10+ years in a particular occupation) or have a university degree?

Would a Japanese company be able to help sponsor me under the Business Manager visa, which would allow wider flexibility in the specific occupation?

Thanks!

  2. The hiring company will take care of this.

Yes you have to have a visa in one of the visa categories, not sure what else you would get. Yes you will need a degree.

No you cannot get a visa with one company and work whatever job you want
