The most legal way to install apps from japanese iOS store to an EUR/US phone

For study purposes I would need to download some apps from the japanese iOS store but it’s basically forbidden by the terms of service and you actually have to insert a fake address – not ideal legally.

I’m a bit afraid of doing that and having repercussions also on my regular account or device. But there should be a way to access those apps. Is there something I don’t know?

  1. Make up a Japanese address and use gift cards.

I did this for Spotify and they cancelled my premium after 14 days. Saying that my IP wasn’t Japanese.

Don’t be know if it’s legal or just bending the rules.

  2. I have a JP Apple Account and my regular NA one. I just log out/log in when I need to download an app from the Japanese app store. Use JP iTunes cards to top up. Granted, I only really use if for JP gacha games, but I haven’t had a problem for the last 3+ years. I’ve spent a fair bit of money on some of them as well.
