Are foldable chairs allowed in Tokyo Disney?

Will be going for a day in an upcoming trip. Can’t find any information about collapsible chairs and if they’re allowed. It’s a really small chair that will fit inside a backpack

I know in the U.S they aren’t allowed, but are they in Japan?

  1. Honestly I feel like nobody would care in the park as long as you’re off to the side/not impeding traffic, but probably not for the show at 6:30pm. They make everyone sit on the ground, presumably so everyone can see the show on the water; my friends and I were kind of kneeled against a fence and they made us sit down

  2. I went to DisneySea earlier this year and saw a family that had one of those compact folding step stools from dollar stores. Never saw them use it. For lines, honestly they moved often enough that I would find it annoying keep repositioning but that’s just me. Being out in the sun/heat was worse – I’d consider budgeting in “fast passes” if I were to return for some of the rides. Having umbrella and fan would also be super helpful.

  3. Certain types of collapsible seats are used by some Japanese guests. Translate this Japanese site on Google website translate to English for more info.

Many people bring in small chairs like this for parades or while waiting for the park to open. There are many types of chairs such as Patatto, folding pipe chairs sold at 100 yen stores, and small step stools. Some people bring mountaineering backpacks with built-in folding chairs. Approximately 30 minutes before the parade starts, cast members will be patrolling the parade route asking guests for their wishes. Until then, it will be possible to use it.
