Separation and Address Changes

Long time lurker, and a (typical) long story short, wife and I separated and I’ve moved out. While we aren’t divorced (yet) things will more than likely go that way though it’s all amicable and we’ve written up costs and visitation rights etc that has all been checked and signed by lawyers.

I do have some questions though about the following:

1. With my new residence, how soon do I have to tell the ward that I’ve moved out, though I’m still married?
2. With the family benefits, is there anything that needs changing there?
3. Do I have to tell my workplace that I’ve moved out or separated?

Thank you in advance.

  1. 1. The typical time to report moving out is usually under 14 days after you move. Marriage status doesn’t matter I guess, you’re still be creating your own juminhyou anyway.
    2. What family benefit are you talking about, who is the head household here? If you’re still married you can’t really do much anyway.
    3. You have to tell your workspace you’ve moved, they need to update your address of course. But being separated, I don’t think you need to declare that. Maybe when the divorce is settled. Did you report you’re married to your workplace at the first place?
