I’m sorry for this being such a random question.
Our mansion in Osaka is rented so we shouldn’t really be hammering into walls etc. but I’d really like to install a chin-up/pull-up bar like the ones you install in doorways.
Can anyone recommend one that’s safe and can be installed without any major DIY? To be fair I’m not even sure if it’s possible.
I know I can but the dip/chin up station things that just work as one big unit but it’s really only the bar I need.
Thank you!

Many local parks have body weight exercise equipment, including chin-up bars. It is rarely used. Find one local and go there.
[There are chin-up bars that don’t use bolts](https://amzn.asia/d/9xbOlIa)
Without installing the bar in to the wall it won’t be safe for you or your mansion. Do yourself a favor and get one with a firm stand
I’ve had this one for three years and I’ve never had any issues with it, https://amzn.asia/d/9AWlVDC
It looks like they dont sell the one I linked anymore, but there’s similar style ones out there.
But the thing is it exerts outward pressure on the door frame so it’s got to be a sturdy doorway. Never had it fall off or anything. I wouldn’t use it anywhere with wallpaper though, like a hallway.
I think you’ll find [this thread from last year](https://old.reddit.com/r/japanlife/comments/rtclcz/pullups_and_chinups/) interesting. The OP shared a link to a map of parks in Japan that have pull-up/chin-up bars or at least equipment that can be used for that. There’s probably something not too far from where you live.
how much do you weigh op?
