Ay everyone, I’m starting to get really bummed out about redness on my face and found lots of medicated cream for it in English. I tried looking around in Japanese but wasn’t able to find anything specifally for rosacea. Anyone know of any good ones I can try?

Hi, I have the same problem and I had it for a couple of years, I have a lot of advice and even know an English speaking clinic to go to in Shibuya. Basically in Japanese they say 酒さ(しゅさ), if you’re on a budget, you start with this 漢方 Chinese medication they give out that actually works pretty well but didn’t do the trick 100% for me. If you can afford 2man yen a month, then I recommend the laser treatment for it (I don’t recall the exact terminology). I’m on round two myself and it’s getting better.
As for medicated creams, it’s unfortunate to tell you that I only succeeded in finding creams that typically make it worse. However, if you really are on a budget, the clinic I know does hook you up with some good soap along for with the Chinese herbal medication. Everyone has different skin and there isn’t actually a cure for rosceasea. But the laser treatment does feel like it addresses the problem well. Let me know if you need more advice.
Finacea 15% azelaic acid – never been able to find something like it in Japan, but you can buy it from online pharmacies like this which ship to Japan: [https://www.chemistdirect.com.au/finacea-15-30g](https://www.chemistdirect.com.au/finacea-15-30g)
Go to a dermatologist they might be able to help with your specific issues. I recommend this place they speak english https://meguro-derm.jp/ . Theyll probably be able to give you better advice, prescribe something or recommend something for your skin.
I had mild rosacea since my teens. It flared up especially when I was anxious or stressed out (which was a lot of the time) and made me feel so self-conscious, especially when people commented on it (because apparently I don’t own a mirror).
Anyway, a couple of years ago, after doing some reading up and research on my own, I decided to try a homemade remedy. I made a solution of high-quality tea tree oil and water and sprayed it on my face with an atomizer several times a day.
It took a few weeks to kill off all those nasty face mites, but kill them off it did! I don’t have any trouble with rosacea anymore.
Now it’s wrinkles and spots.
Forget cream. Change your diet and quit sugar. It’s free. Your face skin will heal on its own without any pointless waste of money creme. Face breakouts means liver problems hence applying topic solutions is useless.
