This will be my second visit to Tokyo (last trip was years ago at Tokyo – Osaka – Kyoto), will be staying and travelling with a relative who’s working in Japan.
My trip will be 17 days from mid till end Oct. Planning to go on a couple of day trips and a couple of overnight trips, wondering if the itinerary looks doable and if anyone has suggestions on what to do during a few free days we have in Tokyo?
Some notes:
1. Both of us will be able to walk \~15k+ steps a day with not much issues.
2. Not a big fan of onsens, hence have not included in our plan.
3. Big fan of theme parks and Harry Potter.
4. Foodies, though not overly high end places. Would love some recs that are below 10k yen!
5. No language barrier. Have local Japanese phone number for reservations & stuff.
6. Already have PASMO/SUICA. No JR Pass. Will be buying some local bus/train passes.

There are quite a number of side trips out of Tokyo, mainly because I’ve already been to Tokyo before so have seen quite a number of spots like Yoyogi Park, Meiji Jingu, Hachiko statue, etc.
Wondering if there’s any suggestions or input? Is it too packed or hectic? Would also appreciate suggestions for what to do in Tokyo!
