In this sentence:
「だって 会社初日
大変だったろうし―
また家でお仕事の話
させるのもなって思って」
I’m having a hard time breaking down the last part of the sentence. I generally understood that the speaker assumed that her friend might have had a rough first day at work so she didn’t want to make her talk about it. It’s 「させるのもなって思って」 part that I’m having trouble with. Can anybody point me to how なって思って is used? Or maybe I’m breaking this down into the wrong parts?
How would you rate Google Translate’s ‘Voice Input’ for Japanese? I have absolutely no one to talk to in Japanese right now, so not really any way to verify my pronouncing of words is correct. I recently discovered Google Translate has a voice input (sadly only available on Chrome, not Firefox) for Japanese. It seems to work pretty well to my untrained ear at picking up the words I’m saying if I pronounce them correctly, and even helped me pick up on a few mistakes I was making and didn’t realise.
Am I going down the wrong direction? Would you say I shouldn’t use this for practice? Or in lieu of no other choices, is it better than nothing? Have you tried it yourself, if so what do you think?
To be clear, I’m not talking about putting any confidence in the actual translations to English, just using it as a means of speaking Japanese words and sentences, and seeing the words and sentences I was saying written on screen in Japanese.
