  1. Quinlan is a good friend of mine.

    But with that obvious bias out of the way, some sections of the Michinoku Coastal trail are fantastic! In fact that whole coast is.

    If you are into hiking it’s divided into daily sections and these are pretty fun to do as they often take you through places people normally wouldn’t go (forestry trails and the like).

    If your into photos, views etc… Then the cliffs, caves and the ferry trip are all solid experiences. As is visiting the giant statue in Kamaiishi and Jodogahama in Miyagi.

    Ryu Sendo cave is also nearby as well.

    If you do do a hike, one trick is to find a section that starts and finishes on the coastal railway line to allow you to easily return to where you started.
