I made honey butter toast from selfmade Japanese milk bread

  1. This looks great. An unusual recipe going from Japanese to Dutch to English — I love it!

    I recently had shokupan in a restaurant here in Australia where they baked it right there in front of you as you ate a sashimi course and then served the bread straight from the oven with the next course. Absolutely delicious!!

    (Just a note about English usage. In English you say “homemade” not “selfmade” when referring to making breads at home. “[Self-made” means something else entirely](https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/self-made)! )
