My dependent visa has just been approved.
I am planning to apply for a work permit and submit the form when I land at the airport. However, the application form is asking for the terms and place of employment.
Am I right in thinking that I need to apply for actual work first before I can apply for a permit?
And am I right to assume that the place of employment that I need to put in the form is a company in Japan? Meaning I can’t apply for remote work for a non Japanese company?

For dependent visa, you can leave that section blank. Depend visa holder are usually eligible for unspecified permission : https://www.isa.go.jp/en/applications/guide/nyuukokukanri07_00069.html
