Hello everyone! I had a pork curry in Shibuya a few weeks ago that I simply *cannot* stop thinking about. I’m hoping to recreate it at home and I’ve got some things figured out and I’m still working on others
The restaurant is Kenick Curry
I *believe* this is a keema curry, and if I’m understanding correctly what a keema curry is, it’s a Japanese take on Indian curry.
When I Google keema curry, most recipes call for ground pork, but I think I remember this one being pork belly. Does that sound right?
I believe the yellow stuff is pickled radish
Any idea what the green stuff under the egg might be? I want to say it was almost like a salsa
Any idea what the red stuff might be?
Any idea what the crunchy topping might be?

Hey, I’ll try my best. This is definitely Keema curry. I’ve never seen it made with pork belly but it’s possible this place does that?
The green stuff is avocado. Seems like a guacamole.
The red stuff is tomato. Probably puréed and I assume they add other stuff to it to give it some more flavor. This is 100% an assumption but I’m guessing this taste like an [umami ketchup](https://food52.com/recipes/6424-umami-ketchup)?
The crunchy topping looks like fried shallots.
Tbh this is a very interesting combination and I’ve never seen keema curry with these type of toppings!
