I am a foreigner living in Japan and so far I managed to make a friend while working in a same restaurant and he’s quitting next week and moving to tokyo. So, what can I gift him as a farewell gift. He’s in his mid 20’s and is fond of pokemon and ONE PIECE kinds of stuff.

I would trend towards something with emotional value rather than material value.
If you’re good at drawing you could draw a farewell card with you and him in a one piece or Pokémon style.
Something like that.
