Hey guys!
Soon i’ll be staying in Izu for a few days then somewhere else for 7 days before we head to nagoya.
Just curious where everyone suggests we should stay for our 7 days. Somewhere in between Izu (where we will be) and Nagoya (where we are heading). We are also sadly limited to only public transport and maybe renting a bicycle as we don’t have our licenses to rent a car.
Any suggestions or recommendations are seriously appreciated

I’m gonna be honest with you, don’t make a thread every day to recommend you some places.
Sure you can get some input from us in where to go, but your questions might be better suited in the Japan travel subreddit.
Google is a good friend and offers a lot of information about traveling and living in Japan too. Do some research on your own and also explore on your own. You will find hidden gems either way.
Hakone is nice
Staying between izu and Nagoya if you want to explore izu is a strange idea. You should stay in izu. It’s not like it’s neighbouring towns, Nagoya and Izu are pretty far away and Izu itself is fairly large.
As for where to stay, try Shimoda. It’s a lovely city with lots of things to do around. It’s also the furthest point you can get on public transport.
