My friends and I are big fans of the anime Free! and we are traveling to Tottori/Iwami in the next few weeks. I’ve been doing a lot of research on how to get from Tottori airport to Iwami and then how to leave Iwami the next day for travel to Osaka. But honestly, I’m losing my mind looking at time tables, which trains to take, how long, extra fares, etc…
Would anyone be able to assist a bit? Basically, I THINK this is what I need to do to get from Tottori Airport to Iwami but I’m not 100%:
1 hr via trains, walk about 22 mins (1.5km) from airport to Tottoridaigaku-Mae Station and take JR San-in Line local Tottori for 2 stops to Tottori Station and transfer to San-In Line Local Hamasaka 3 stops to Iwami Stations
Is that correct?? Is there a bus that goes from Tottori Airport to the university station? Or is it ok to walk? Would it be less stress for 4 people to take a taxi?
When we’re leaving Iwami, I THINK this is right?
12:21pm from Iwami, take the San-in Line to Tottori and transfer for Super-Hakuto 8 at 12:46pm. Arrive in Osaka at 15:19pm.
But again, not sure if if there are other times or how often this train shows up.
