Service was impeccable. It was my date’s birthday and they got him a cake.
Three types of salt are at the table, the chef will instruct specific salts for specific dishes. Favourites include the shrimp, scallop, uni and sweet corn. It culminated in either a tempura don or chazuke (I chose the latter). Their vegetables are also extremely fresh and tender.
Dessert was also amazing – sweet potato tempura with ice cream.

This looks incredible. But also like, a lot of fried food. Did you feel kind of weighed down at the end? I love tempura so much, but at some point in my 20s I was like, “Wow, I don’t think I can eat tempura as a whole meal anymore.”
The uni on nori tempura (I think?) seems rather hard to eat!
