Hi! So I’m a high schooler in JP. I live with a different family here. But my biological mom recently told me she wants to find a job here. She has been here but only as a tourist. She has a doctorate in pedagogy and she has worked in education (mostly as a music teacher) for around 15 years, in different schools and a director in orchestras, and she was once a language professor. She is N5 in Japanese, B2 English, B1 French, C2 Spanish. She is starting to learn Japanese. Does anyone know a place or a website where she can apply or find a job that is mostly related with kids and isn’t the typical english teacher thing? And is there any way I could help her? Lol

Assuming she has a teaching license in her home country, maybe looking at international schools? From my understanding there are people who teach other subjects but the qualification requirements are usually higher
Music teaching to foreign children is a thing. There are a few foreign ladies who made a name for themselves. Getting in touch with them may be a start.
If she ever does some music teaching in English or Spanish, I would like to know some details 🙂
With a doctorate in pedagogy and experience with multiple languages, she should be applying to university foreign language departments.
