Hi there, I am based in Osaka and I’m very unlucky with my travel cards since today it’s the third time that I lose it. (every time in a different way, and it’s the only thing that I lost!)
Last time I lost my Icoca while I was in Tokyo and being there, I’m issued a new Suica by even writing my name with the issuing machine and taking a picture of the card. Now that I lost even the Suica while I am in Kyoto, I’d like to know if there is a way to recover the credit inside it and transfer it in the new Icoca by proof of identity.

They are different brands and different companies so no. Need to be the same
How TF do you lose so many? Keep them in your wallet or attached to your bag/purse.
Better yet add them to your phone. If that doesn’t work for you maybe start buying paper tickets idk.
Anyways as the other poster mentioned you have two different cards from two different companies so the funds don’t transfer. The funds are lost unless you manage to get a new suica which at this time probs isn’t going to work out for you due to not issuing them.
