Recently, I’ve noticed that it seems my points on my point cards are being used (red -[number]) which (I think) means it’s using up my points. How can I specify I only want to earn points not spend them?
Edit: I got the answer, didn’t know the term ためてください
Edit 2: I think the communication error was saying ポイントカードが使いたい instead of how I specifically wanted to use it

They are supposed to ask you if you want to use them. If you want to specify it easily just say “point wo tametekudasai” it’s easy to remember even if you don’t speak Japanese.
There is usually a toggle on the app that you can switch between “use points” and “save points”
Never had them automatically use my points but I do know some places with points have expiration dates for their points.
I think aeon has that.
Are you sure the points are not expiring? Usually all the apps have some message like XXX points will expire by YYY.
