  1. My wife insists that watermelons will grow in my belly if I don’t spit out the pits. Does that count?

  2. Literally

“That humidity patch looks like a dragon”
“It must be because the spirit of a dragon dwells in here”

I live in the countryside, mind you. lol. They really believe it.

  3. If you understand Japanese, there are plenty of occult, ghost story-telling, haunted location adventuring YouTubers. Search for terms like 怪談, 心霊スポット etc

One channel I enjoy listening to while I work is 島田秀平のお怪談巡り and stories from this guy called ヤースー whose grandma was a ユタ(kind of like an Okinawa shaman)

  4. A few years ago, a highschooler I was teaching English to told me about a local ghost story (around Shibuya area maybe?). There was a dark tunnel and you couldn’t stop while moving through it, if you did the ghost of a woman would drop down from the ceiling and kill you. The student told me the name and I looked it up later but I’ve forgotten now unfortunately.

  5. This one Halloween in Shibuya actual demons came in and ate people. They had to send in a secret group of clandestine operatives to clean it all up.
