Kamala Harris interviews in front of Soka Gakkai cult leader Daisaku Ikeda’s portrait on PBS

Bizarre that the Vice President of the United States should choose to be interviewed on PBS with a huge portrait of Soka Gakkai’s [Daisaku Ikeda](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisaku_Ikeda) right over her shoulder next to Martin Luther King Jr. There’s no accidents when it comes to stage managed, political interviews. Everything is deliberately planned out down to the tiniest detail.

  1. The fact that the guy pointed her where to stand tells me she didn’t choose it. What weird conspiracy shit.

  2. According to the video the interview was done at Morehouse College. Daisaku Ikeda apparently had a relationship with Morehouse College, which is apparently why his photo is there. It isn’t relevant to Kamal Harris’ presence there considering Morehouse College’s significance to the civil rights movement.

  3. Its a room full of portraits, I guarantee you no one in the current US government knows or cares who Ikeda is. Him and SGI are not important in the US.

  4. Yeah… no. Despite Sokka Gakkai members in Japan gleefully telling you that SGI is a huge international organization with churches all over world, and members including (insert 2-3 random American or British celebrities who may have attended a single worship service at some point in the past but are almost certainly *not* a members here), the reality is that 99.99% of Americans have never heard of Soka Gakkai or Ikeda, and even if the had they wouldn’t care.

As others have pointed out, Ikeda has a relationship with Morehouse (probably donated a decent amount of $), and they were probably just trying to get MLK’s portait to be prominent in the background and Ikeda’s happened to be right next to it.
