Nakajima leaving NOAH, will he sign with NJ?

If so, which faction do you see him joining? Just 5 guys?

  1. If there is a god – yes.

There is no Ospreay replacement, but nakajima would certainly soften the blow of another major player leaving NJPW

  2. What a get for whoever signs him damn. If he goes somewhere else I hope it’s at least somewhere where there is a chance of him doing a tour like a G1.

Also I hope he gets to keep his theme, shit goes so hard.

  3. Aw, I love Nakajima and I’d certainly be happy if he joined NJPW but I feel bad for NOAH losing one of their top five guys 🙁

  4. Oh New Japan 100% poached him. If either 1 or both of the top foreign names are leaving, bringing in a top flight known domestic quantity is a big move. If I’m NOAH, I’m making sure KENOH and Kiyomiya are locked down, and All Japan had better hand Miyahara and Aoyagi big new deals immediately

  5. Well damn. NJPW should be doing everything possible to sign him with it looking likely that ZSJ and Ospreay are gone

  6. NJPW would be bonkers to pass on Katsu Nakajima. They’d be signing him ASAP.
I’m disappointed he be leaving NOAH but based on what I understand especially about his title reign being cut short and NOAH’s reasons….I can’t say I’m surprised. He’s probably seen that NOAH won’t take him any further and will look elsewhere to expand his career.

  7. Nakajima is a mystery, sometimes he does the obvious sometimes he shoot kicks you in the face. Maybe he’s gonna jump to NJPW or maybe he’s starting a vanity promotion.

  8. I’m bummed out to hear this because I really like him in NOAH, but he could be a great addition to NJPW.

  9. This is gonna sound like Tourter “INSERT MEGA FORESHADOWING, ” but what if New Japan God forbid they do but say we draw out that J4G vs HoT fued and have Nakajima join J4G which I can see them being 5 aging with a return Uemura and not only help beat the shit out of HoT but then say Naito wins at Wrestle Kingdom then BANG Nakajima vs Naito World Title fued right there he’s already an established name so I could see it working.

  10. Damn good thing he made up with Go Shiozaki when he still had time

That being said, this feels weird and I’m not totally convinced he’s signing with NJPW, more like going free lancing or signing with AJPW

Not even sure if he fits here and Nakajima is a personal top 5 wrestler for me so you know id love to see it…

  11. Didn’t see that coming. Nakajima been in NOAH for almost 20 years, figured the guy would be a lifer there.

I wanna believe the guy is NJPW bound. We already know that we’ll be losing at least one top talent in 2024, and it’s not like other big releases where there’s a large enough talent pool to absorb the hit. They’re gonna need to get some new blood to spice things up.

The big question, are they gonna let him keep that theme?

  12. In my personal opinion, Nakajima is a great fit for NJPW. He could have bangers with a bunch of the roster.

  13. That’s unexpected, almost like something happened backstage. But Nakajima would be a fantastic addition.

  14. Remember when everybody thought Jake Lee was NJPW bound last year. I wouldn’t be so sure if NJPW even wants to bring him in.

Maybe I’m misremembering but didn’t he had a fallout with NJPW before?

  15. Nakajima is a beast, I’d watch him vs Shingo headlining a Tokyo dome anyday (won’t happen but it fucking should)

  16. What in the holy fuck

Nakajima was my favourite NOAH guy and I’m not even a huge NOAH fan. He just exudes that amazing charisma that I love.

I believe he’ll succeed in any non-western company he goes to.

  17. I don’t follow NOAH, so maybe there were some rumors of him leaving, but this seems like it’s out of nowhere. Him terminating his contract gives off major Shingo/Ishimori vibes where they quit their home promotion and signed with New Japan a few months later.

  18. Let’s just clear up this talk of Nakajima hating Noah. Not true at all. He has made it clear he loves Noah with all his heart. This is him just wanting a change and seeing what else he can achieve.

“In my 20th year of my career, at the age of 35, I wanted to challenge myself, I wanted to test myself. Many people are said to be at a crossroads in their lives, I wanted to test myself on my own.”

“My dear NOAH, I have nothing but gratitude for the company, I don’t know where to start. It’s my asset that we were able to work hard together during the difficult time of NOAH.”

“I haven’t decided exactly what my future holds.”
