   Thanks to this subreddit I found some immigration lawyers:

   However cost wasn’t discussed. Any suggestions for ones that charge reasonable? I’m looking to apply for a work visa and need to get a COE for it. Any details on how much the cost usually is? (Or a price range)

2. Before you start spending money, are you trying to get a COE without company sponsorship? That’s not how it works. You need to find a company to sponsor you then apply for the COE.

   No matter how great a lawyer may be, they can’t get around that.

   To answer your question, for PR applications, immigration lawyers run around 150k yen. I could see it being around the same for a visa application.

3. Is there anything complicated about your case or are you just looking to have someone visit immigration on your behalf because you’re too busy (or can’t be bothered)?

   If you’re looking to open a business and you’re needing someone to handle all of that legal legwork its going to cost a lot more than just having some gopher carry a document bundle to immigration and wait in line for a few hours.

4. I hired a lawyer recently and it cost me around 15k JPY per hour. Many will charge per-service instead of per-hour.
