Employment terminated after getting Visa

I received my Visa with my COE attached a few weeks ago, but with changes to my contract from the hiring company in Japan, they have terminated a number of contracts including mine. With that being said, I have already booked my flights and have everything ready for departure.

The question I have is, would I still be able to enter Japan with my Visa without current employment? I have several interviews lined up with immediate starts but I need to enter Japan for these. Is this possible with me already having my Visa and COE?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

  1. This appears to be a post about securing a visa to legally live or work in Japan. Please consult our [visa wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/movingtojapan/wiki/visas) for more information. 2. It depends on how ‘on the ball’ your employer is. They are meant to be informing Immigration that they are no longer inviting you to Japan and have the visa cancelled.

    >Q2: I have decided not to invite a foreign national to Japan after all. Could you cancel that person’s visa?
    >
    >A2: Describe in a statement to the effect that you have cancelled the invitation and send it by Fax or mail together with the personal identification information of the visa applicant, to the Embassy / Consulate General that issues the visa or the Foreign Nationals’ Affairs Division, Consular Affairs Bureau, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, tell the visa applicant to bring his/her passport to the Japanese Embassy / Consulate General that issued the visa for cancellation of it. Note that visa fees will not be refunded even if the visa is cancelled before being used.

    >Q9What are the requirements for a newly arrived foreign national to be granted permission to land in Japan?
    >
    >Those who enter to Japan with a valid passport issued by a foreign government recognized by Japan, those who possess (excluding cases where visas are not required due to international agreements, etc.) a visa issued by an overseas Japanese embassy or consulate, and those who follow the requirements below as set by the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (hereafter referred to as “Immigration Control Act”) Article 7, Paragraph 1 will be permitted to land.

    >A. Passport and visa are valid;

    >**B. Activity in Japan in which they wish to engage is not false** and corresponds with their status of residence;

    >Complies with the requirements should there be landing permission criteria to their status of residence;

    >C. Period of stay pertaining to the application complies with the Ministry of Justice’s provisions; and
