What is the subject of 激り?
The 思わず at the end is my main source of confusion. I learned this word as an adverb, but I don’t think it’s being used like that here. Its appearance at the end and being preceded by に contributed to my confusion. An English approximation of “感情に思わず” would also be appreciated.
So, essentially I had a tutor making cards for me for awhile, and when I ended my lessons with him and went off on my own, I wasn’t really too familiar with the best way to use Anki. So I just decided to add pretty much everything I was seeing, and I went kind of nuts with it. I added like 500 words, and a lot of them are kind of garbage vocab that wont help me for a long time and now im stuck in a wasteful anki cycle with a lot of useless words coming in that is slowing my vocab acquisition down. I want to put these cards somewhere safe and bring them back out when I feel like they will be useful again. I found a list online of the most frequent Japanese words and decided to start making cards based off of that and want to prioritize those.Any way to put these cards somewhere safe without deleting them?
Does the term [内向的](#fg “ないこうてき”) properly mean _introverted_ in the actual, intended sense.. or is it just as often confused with “shy”?
I ask because I joined HelloTalk a few weeks back in an effort to get some actual practice in (I’m not learning at school nor do I have plans to live in Japan, so my options are limited). I am very introverted and don’t often have the energy to talk to people a lot.. but when I do have that energy, I am *not* shy at all. I have no problem initiating conversation and am pretty open about my feelings. So at first, I had a ton of energy and was messaging and chatting with a lot of people. There were even two people I talked with more and had hopes to maybe befriend over time.. but then I just.. had other things going on and didn’t have the energy anymore. Now I’m afraid of being rude or having offended them if I message them again and don’t explain myself..
help.
I’m struggling with a sentence. I’m including the sentence before it hoping that adds context. I’m having trouble figuring out how to translate 考えてみたい in context.
「人々は何を求めて居酒屋に行くのだろうか。その特徴から居酒屋の魅力を考えてみたい。」
I’m getting something like “What does everyone want when going to an Izakaya? An Izakaya’s charm is because of that characteristic” and then I have no idea how the 考えてみたい adds anything coherent. Something about resembling thoughts? Or trying to think?
