Itinerary – Dec 2023, Tokyo

Hihi guys, going with my family to Tokyo in mid Dec for about 9 days and would appreciate some tips as its our first time going!!

Day 1 (Sat)

Reach Narita at about 1pm, travel to our AirBnB near Tokyo Skytree to check-in, and explore Skytree after

Day 2 (Sun)

9am – 10.30am: Explore Oedo Antique Market

10.30am – 1pm: Imperial Gardens, maybe explore Tokyo Station or Hie Shrine

1pm – 3pm: Lunch at Monjayaki Street

3pm – 8pm: Odaiba

Day 3 (Mon)

9am – 11.30am: Walk to Sensoji Temple in the morn, maybe with kimono rental (not sure which ones to try)

11.30am – 3pm: Nakamise Street (Rox Department store also?)

3pm – 4pm: Walk to Ueno Park (Maybe explore Ameyoko Street) until 4pm

4pm – 9pm: Either Tokyo Skytree/Akihabara after

Day 4 (Tues)

9.30 am – 2pm: Explore Shinjuku in the morning to early afternoon (Kinokuniya main store, Isetan?)

Take Romancecar to Hakone

Hopefully 4pm?: Check in and rest at ryokan

Day 5 (Wed)

10am – 11am: Owakudani

11.30am – 12.15pm: Sightseeing Cruise

2pm – 3.30pm: Hakone Shrine

4pm – 7pm: Yunessen (Not sure how to get here from the shrine)

Is this day very packed?

Day 6 (Thurs)

Check out of ryokan

1pm – 8pm: Travel back to Shinjuku and explore (Shinjuku Gyoen, Takashimaya, Metropolitan Building, etc.)

Travel back to AirBnB

Day 7 (Fri)

9am – 1pm: Tsukiji Outer Market (Or would 8am be better?)

1.30pm – 8pm: Akihabara after, maybe Jimbocho?

Day 8 (Sat)

9.30am – 11am: Meiji-jinggu in the morning

11am – 2pm: Takeshita Street (Maybe Oriental Bazaar?)

2pm – 9pm: Explore Shibuya (Any recommendations?)

Day 9 (Sun)

Spare day, wondering if we should revisit places, or explore other places like Nakano Broadway/Ikebukuro/Ginza

Day 10 (Mon)

Flight departs in the morning

Would appreciate any advice on recommended places to explore, as well as if any days are too packed!! Thanks in advance!! :))
