Confirming Thickness of Residence Card

Been trying to sign up for a SIM card for a while but LINEMO keeps rejecting my application because the “thickness must be confirmed.” I have no idea what that means or how I’m supposed to get past that.

I’ve tried about 8 times with different SIM card providers and they’ve all said the same thing. Reached out to LINEMO support and they said “Just keep trying until it works.” Anyone else have this issue before?

  1. Put it on a white sheet of paper on a flat surface in a well lit room and get the correct angle until it works.

  2. Are you sure it isn’t a bad translation of something requiring ‘full-width’ kana? I could see that being machine-translated into ‘thickness’.

  3. I had the same trouble a while ago, and some kind person told me to place the card on the edge of a table and take the photo at 45 degrees.

  4. Usually when applying there is a camera function within the application process to take a pic of your card to submit. Usually three pics total: front, back, and tilted or from an angle to show the card thickness, [as these pics show.](https://imgur.com/a/wqhkREi)

  5. You have to send a photo of your card at an angle so they can see the thickness of the card in the photo

  6. This is only for their e-sim application, which I also didn’t pass as I don’t have PR status. If you have the same issue, apply for the regular SIM card and they don’t ask about thickness

  7. I dont know for sure but i heard that if u dont have ur address on the back of the card, they reject u for thickness
