I though it was MA in TESOL. However, after browsing through LinkedIn, I’ve noticed several people writing MEd in TESOL in their profiles. Are there any differences?
Long ago, schools of education generally had poor reputations in the United States. Those are the ones that usually issue MEd and EdD degrees. Even when I was doing my doctoral degree, it wasn’t uncommon to dismiss or urge caution about people with the shorthand ‘…, but she’s/he’s in the School of Education’, the implication being that the person’s scholarship shouldn’t be automatically accorded respect.
