I’m writing a paper on Japanese cinema from the 60s and 70s that have scenes and topics related to the Student Movement in Japan. I was thinking, since most of these movies are directed by left wing related directors, it could be interesting to see movies directed from ‘the opposition’ and how they depict the student protests. But googling it only gives me the famous left wing ones, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of right wing movie directors in Japan, preferably in the era of the protests. Thank you.

You may or may not find many right wing film directors, but that itself might be a topic to explore for context. Some industries and positions skew one way or the other, and some are more balanced- you’ll probably have more luck finding more conservative news coverage of the protests.
Here are a couple links I found that might point you to at least some secondary sources/provide a useful foil to your examination of the films you do have. If you’re short on time, the MIT one is more directly relevant/image centered:
