* **Also still a little confused on the best way to buy Hakone Pass with the RomanceCar option is?**
* Hakone Jinja Shrine

**Are we cutting it close by leaving too late? Or ample time to make it to the flight on time?**

  2. Never been to japan but have travelled a lot, speaking personally, this looks very very packed almost no room for spontaneous activities.
    I’d rather plan less and I can guarantee that you’ll find something todo.

  3. Day 2: It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the pirate ship port to Hakone shrine. It’s a nice walk, half next to the water, half through a forest path. The day might be a little packed for me personally but if you leave on time it shouldn’t be too much.

    Day 6: if you want to go shopping before lunch, you might feel a bit rushed since most shops in Tokyo seem to open between 10 and 11.

    Day 8: Sumida park isn’t anything special to look at, but it’s a nice escape from the massive crowds around Sensoji.

    Day 10:
    There are/were plenty of coin lockers around Ueno station and the Skyliner station last time we visited. I remember we used one near the entrance of Ameyokocho, just opposite the skyliner station.
    I would say you’re fine on time here, but check during the day and if you don’t trust it just go a bit earlier.

    All in all seems like a fun itinerary, not overplanned but enough to make sure you see a lot. Personally I would have added a night in a ryokan in Hakone, but I can imagine that would be more difficult and expensive with a group of 5

  4. Your itinerary is based on everyone waking up early. You haven’t factored in jet lag at all.

  5. Wow you guys sure are early risers. I’ve always had a couple of nights with friends where we end up drinking a bit late so there’s no way we can wake up that early every day.
