Sneaker Shopping – Mizuno

I’ll be in Japan for a month from end of Oct to end of Nov – I’m looking to buy:

1. Mizuno Wave TL GTX
2. Asics Gel-NYCs

I’m wondering how readily available these are in-store (with a good variety of colourways?) as I know in the UK these shoes seem to be online only and are quite highly priced.

So wondering if anyone in Japan can advice on where to purchase these if the official stores themselves do not carry stock consistently?

  1. I’ve been to both stores recently, I don’t recall see that model at the Mizuno store (main one in Kanda), but saw a few different colorways of Wave runners, contenders, and a few others. I think a good guide of what will be available at the stores is what’s in stock on the Japanese websites. The Gel NYCs are probably easier to track down, you could probably find them at atmos or of the other sneaker stores in Harajuku, which again I think the online store would be a good indicator of what you can see in person

  2. Just an FYI about shoes in Japan; If you have anything larger than a size 10 foot (US) you might have a hard time finding stock.
