I’m leaving to go to LA for thanksgiving with Japan/US citizenship. Y’all have any problems when you leave Japanese airport? Ticket is in my American name, so can I just use my American passport to leave or just give them both passports? Should I change ticket name to Japanese name? Does it matter because they’ll ask for ESTA anyways? TIA

🤫You leave and return with your Japanese passport. You just need to show your American passport when you get to the US.
For any dual citizenship, you leave/enter country A with passport A. You leave/enter country B with passport B. If it’s a different country C, then you can use either passport, whichever is convenient.
