I’m a cat lover and while I was in my home country I used to do volunteer at an animal hospital. I would like to do the same thing here in Japan, but I looked it up online and sent in several applications but no luck. I tried to find one through IG but got rejected because I didn’t follow their account.
Is there any other information regarding this? Thank you in advance.

If you are in Tokyo, I would recommend Japan Cat Network. Most volunteers are foreigner.

There’s some kinda cat/animal support group that’s setup in front of shin Yokohama station every day asking for donations, you could probably approach and ask if they need any help besides money. can’t miss them they are at the ramp to main entrance with a big table and cat flags.
I’ve been looking for a dog shelter to volunteer in central Tokyo but have been struggling to find anywhere that’s not far out.
