Im located in Saitama and I’m trying to sell a desk on Marketplace. A potential buyer is asking if I can receive money via EMS, and then to send item via TNT. I’m assuming it’s a scam, but is this a legit way to sell item?
If you get cash in hand (like actual cash not a bank transfer) before sending the item then it doesn’t seem likely or even possible for you to get scammed, if anything you could scam them by not sending it.
But it’s not a normal way of doing things and better to just insist on doing it another way or finding another buyer if you aren’t sure.
I mean it’s a desk and you are paid in cash before sending it. It is weird but doesn’t look like a scam to me. He could be a new student here with only cash in hand.
