If you’re a non-priority person in Suginami, have you received your 5th Corona vaccination coupon yet? Weren’t they to be mailed out from late September?
Anyone got tips for where to get a PS5 digital edition in the Tokyo area?
All the big electronic stores I see online are sold out or reservation only. Thanks!
Can someone help my understand why on earth standard room fans, desk fans and basically all kinds of devices that move air around are so bloody expensive here in Japan?
I just want a floor standing fan for a little air movement and white noise in my bedroom but basically everything is around ¥3,500 at the lowest end with most coming in at ¥5,000 or more. I’ve looked everywhere, donki, Amazon, bicccu etc.
Where I am from a basic room fan is literally $10 at target or Kmart, that’s about ¥1,100 yen.
I feel like I could become a billionaire importing room fans to japan.
Does any one know where I can get a cheap fan in Tokyo?
Can anyone recommend a good soundbar?
Is there a notable difference in 2.1, 3.1, Dolby?
I was eating natto tomago kake gohan at a restaurant today, and I realized I literally never have thought nato smells repugnant, but I only first first it a few years ago and have only had it in restaurants. Does it smell less when cold? Is it true the manufacturers changed the process to reduce the smell? Is there something about eating it at home that makes it worse?
As a comparison, I found stinky tofu so offensively stinky in Taiwan I couldn’t stand within a 5 meter radius of the food carts.
Thinking about getting a SodaStream and wondering how strong the carbonation is.
I usually drink 7-11 Strong Sparkling Water and that’s the perfect amount of carbonation. Wilkinson is fine, but a little weak. Something like San Pellegrino might as well be flat.
What would you compare the single-setting SodaStream to? Multi-setting?
The apartment building I live in has an attached parking spot, even tho I have no car I have been paying for it for almost a year.
I am now planning to get a car this year and I read somewhere online that I need a 保管書 and a shakoshōmeisho.
My apartment is being rented using the name of the company that hired me and minimini, so I am not sure who should I as for the 保管書 ?
Also shakoshōmeisho is supposed to not be mandatory depending on where you live, is there a way to check that online ?
Sorry for the quite dumb question as it’s my first time buying revenue stamp, but in lieu of an 8000 yen stamp to be used for immigration, can I use 5000 + 3000 ones?
Why do major companies, Japanese and otherwise, name their online product manual files so weird? What not “Product name/serial number_two letters showing the language”?
Everything is a big mish-mash of letters and numbers, and if you don’t delete them as soon as you’re finished like some spy with a secret message, your phone files get all messy.
Best thermal innerwear for men?
A bit confused between UNIQLO and TopValu. Which one would be the better choice, when considering price and comfortability?
I had my glasses cleaned at an Optician, and when I wanted to pay they said I don’t need to, but next time I come I pay.
Is this common, that you don’t pay the first time?
Anyone has experience with sugaring or permanent hair removal? Is it common? Is it affordable?
So how do you find a recruiter? I’m not very specialized but would like to throw my name into the hat and see if any a recruiter has anything that I would qualify for. I tried giving my info to Robert Walters but their website is very broken.
