Electric car subsidies: how complicated to apply and can you get V2H subsidy if you can’t use V2H?

I’m shopping for a new car and considering going full electric. But I have some questions I forgot to ask the dealer and I would like to hear about people’s honest experience with it.

If I buy an electric vehicle capable of V2H but I don’t have anything installed in my house to actually use the V2H function and have no plans to install it, can I still get the 850,000 yen?

I also saw we cannot sell the car for 4 years if we get the subsidy, is that correct? It’s kind of a high risk for someone who never owned an EV and is not sure if it will be a good match or not…

Finally, how difficult was it to apply and get the subsidies? Some dealerships offer full assistance in submitting all the documents, while others say you are on your own. I wonder how much weight I should put on that service when choosing which brand of car to buy.

PS: unfortunately I’m not in Tokyo and can’t get the extra Tokyo subsidy.
