So I saw not too long ago that the laws regarding gentsuki is going to change. In a year and a half or so you’ll be able to ride up to 125cc with a regular drivers license but I also saw something about the engine being tuned for lower output. Does that mean it’s going to essentially have the same power as a 50cc now?
If anyone has a good link (Japanese is fine) going over these changes I’d appreciate it.
Is there any reason to buy a more expensive apartment compared to a less expensive house?
There is a nice 4LDK house, 13 minutes from the station and 25 minutes from our current city with the things we like to do, for 3250万円. It’s not where we live currently and in the next town over. BTW, this is not Tokyo, but Kyushu.
The apartment is near 5000万円 and is a 2LDK. It’s in the center of the bigger city, two minutes from where we live now and 9 minutes from the station. It’s fancy, with all the latest tech, water tech stuff, etc.
I know this city is more expensive than the nearby one, but that is quite the difference. Is there any situation why the more expensive one makes sense, such return on investment?
Why is the default shoe size these days wide or 2E or 3E? I’m struggling to find standard sizes, and when I talk to shop staff they say “oh every size in this brand is a wide size.” Since when? Absolutely none of my shoes, including from those brands, bought pre-pandemic are marked as a wide size.
Where would the best place be to find a second hand 50cc bike?
Perhaps even one that has that storage/deliver box that I see for ramen shops.
I have a NHK sticker on the top of my door, does that mean I can watch local TV if i get one of those long cables and plug it in?

Just out of curiosity. Is buying an apartment worth it here in Japan? Back in my home country it is as community payments are usually not very high and it’s very rare for apartment buildings to be demolished. What about in Japan?

I want to connect a ground wire with an appliance but I’m used to the outlet having a screw. My apartment just had two little holes. Do I just jam the wire in and let it hang loose? I can’t see any other way to fasten it
