SIM Cards for Texting..

I am looking for a SIM card that supports mainly inbound text. Not having concerns about a data plan or talk time. Just wondering what options we have.

  1. Hmm. Try checking out GTN Mobile, costs around 2-3k yen per month with 10GB data which also has texting capabilities (sending and receiving). There is a lower tier plan, I think. So it could be cheaper.

  2. povo 2.0 is free (need to topup with 300 yen plan once every 3 months) to receive phone calls and SMS.

    rocket mobile cheapest plan is ~500 yen a month for same. I think they have a sms-only plan as well for a bit less. all plans charge for outgoing sms as almost nobody here uses it for “texting”
