Hello, I have recently moved to Japan for the next two years and I’m going to visit my family soon-ish. It has been my parents wedding anniversary and I was thinking it might be nice to take home a written message on one of the cloths they hang in houses here (not sure of the name but you see them everywhere in shops), since they had their honeymoon in Japan.
Anyone got any suggestions where I can do this or something similar? I tried googling for a while but got nothing but stationary and Etsy links. I will be leaving in a month so I got some time. Living in the western Tokyo, Musashino, but willing to travel for it.

Are you thinking of noren? Or the scrolls hung in the shrine areas to respect the dead?
General advice: if you don’t know the name or purpose of the item, don’t appropriate it.
I got some cool name poetry written on a display board thing by a guy up in the red warehouses of Hakodate, Hokkaido that might be the kind of thing you are looking for. He does poetry/calligraphy for couples and families as well. You can order online if you don’t want to go all the way to Hakodate (it is a great city though). He’s an eccentric man who does great work [https://yumezo0913.com](https://yumezo0913.com)
