Friday Nomikai with the lab led to a Saturday mostly consisting of staring at my bedroom ceiling.
Sunday was going into Kyoto for some otaku stuff and buying presents for my upcoming trip home. Feels like every time I go to Shijo Kawaramachi area, a different mom and pop place has been replaced by a corporate/tourist trap entity. I’m actually rather impressed they kept it going this long considering the area has been teeming with tourists for YEARS.
Also ran into a yosakoi festival at Heian Jingu. I feel like every time I’m in that area there’s one of those going on. Then again, I’m usually watching something at Rohm and those tend to get scheduled for long weekends.
Monday wasn’t really a weekend for me because I’m a Ph.D student hah.
