Is the rirekisho format used for every kind of job in Japan?

Just a quick question here.

I am mostly talking about jobs that do the hiring process in English.

I do have a resume in rirekisho format filled out in English(amongst many other formats), but for someone who is used to the Europass format, it seems to be lacking a bit.

Do eikaiwas, international schools and other places that hire in English still want that format? Or maybe a standard western format like the example given here?

I usually flip a coin and go with whatever it lands on.

  1. Some do, most don’t. If they’re a BOE or a Japanese Government job then maybe. Some colleges want them too. But honestly, outside of BOE jobs I haven’t really seen it.
