1. Yeah….. That ban would not fly in the current Japanese society

3. good, that was a bizarre overreach which no one seems to have wanted. kind of curious about how it managed to percolate up through the party apparatus.

5. The guy did say third grade or younger. Isn’t that 8 to 9 years old? Still some merit in the idea, because not all kids can be fully self-sufficient at that age.
