Supplemental Learning Options?

I need help guys. So I’m taking Japanese courses at my university. I’m in my third semester right now, and my university uses Genki. I feel pretty good about the grammar points as I’m learning them, and I do well on my exams, but once we stop using them in class my brain pushes it out. I’m planning on moving to Japan to teach English, so being able to practically use Japanese is important to me. What should I do to get more practice of actually using these grammar points? Is there a learning app that someone recommends? Or just various methods that have helped you learn to integrate all of the different concepts that are taught in a classroom?

  1. Engage with real native material and talk to natives

You need to use what you learn, no amount of passive grammar memorization will be enough to read or speak well

  2. I did Anki + Books starting from Genki, 10 pages a day, N3 in 6months. It’s crazy how much 10 pages a day can accomplish even I myself was surprised 🙂
