Basically I was practicing my hearing while watching the anime (GTO) and there is this character that says: pikorin (episode 9, min 14.18). I think it could be written as ぴこりん, and that word is translated as: “I am here” in both english and spanish, but I cant seem to find it on any dictionaries. Is the translation correct? am I miss spelling it?

also according to the japanese autosubtitles from youtube it is spelled as: びっこりん
It’s onomatopoeia — i.e., a sound effect that the character (apparently quirkily) uses, probably as a variation of [ピコピコ](https://jisho.org/word/%E3%83%94%E3%82%B3%E3%83%94%E3%82%B3) (pikopiko).
No, it doesn’t _actually_ mean “I am here”, any more than “beep-beep” from Looney Tunes’ Road Runner means anything meaningful. That’s just how the translators decided to handle the verbal sound effect.
