**Wed, Oct 18**

* Need some ideas here

**Thur, Oct 19**

* Fly to Shanghai 3:30am
* Leave hotel by 11:20pm to catch last train to HND
* Arrive by 12:23am
* If there’s some sort of bus or shuttle that might be better, I’d appreciate it. Right now it gives us 3 hours before departure time which is plenty but if there’s something that leaves a bit later and gives us around 2 hours and is not crazy expensive, please recommend.

  1. The itinerary is open. I’m not too into anime or have any special places that I’d like to visit and my mom isn’t into that genre either but I’m open to moving days/activities around if it makes more sense travel wise. I’ve tried my best to group activities closeish together but there are likely some improvements that can be made.

    If anyone has any good restaurant recommendations, I’d love that as well

    Thanks!

  2. Group Shinjuku and Shibuya on the same day, you might add Harajuku there too. You can visit Yokohama, Enoshima too if you want.

  3. You’re not really leaving yourself much time in each place. I found each of the locations you listed took a day or more to fully appreciate. As for clubs, definitely give them a miss and bars are overpriced, especially in tourist areas. If you want to drink, go to any 7/11 and stock up there on local drinks to enjoy at the hotel (you’ll need to rest or your feet will NEVER forgive you!).

  4. Tsukiji Outer Market can be skipped. You are likely to find better food elsewhere.TeamLab Planets is crowded and may not be ideal for the older crowd.

    My mother is Chinese too and generally I find that her demographics prefer nature and viewpoints. Meiji Shingu is a nice pocket of greenery in the midst of the city. For your own sanity, please plan for cafe breaks so that the elderly/middle aged can rest their legs.
