Itinerary Check – First Time travelers, 3/15-4/1, Sakura Season

Hello, thanks to the lovely people of this sub I’ve been able to add some awesome places to my trip next year. I’ll be going for 33 days, but so far I only have the first half planned (33 days is a lot to plan for I have found out). Not sure if I should add any extra days to Hiroshima/Kyoto/Osaka?

There are 3 things that made my trip a little all over the place that we want to attend/see no matter what: AnimeJapan, Giant Gundam, Flea Market in Kyoto. I also don’t know if I’m being crazy, but I lined the cities up to try to catch sakura blooms the best I can. (This is where I’m wondering, am I delulu?)

If possible, I’m looking for advice if I’m being too ambitious on some days, if anyone has any recs for changes that you found made your trip smoother/easier, and recs for food/activities/shrines/sakura viewing spots are always welcome. 🙂

We are a couple in our early 30’s, we’re vegetarian, love nature, animals, photography, cars, anime, art, tattoos, and tea (not coffee drinkers – not voluntarily, we developed sensitive stomachs to coffee :/).

**3/15** \- Arrive @ NRT, check into hotel, no plans just to get some combini food and sleep

**3/16** \- Chill explore day in Tokyo, adjust to time, playing by ear

**3/17** \- Chill explore day mostly, afternoon tea at hotel (haven’t decided which one), playing rest of day by ear

**3/18** \- Travel Day: Tokyo to Hiroshima, after checking into accommodation: Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum, Okonomiyaki spot for dinner

**3/19** \- Okunoshima Day trip: we’ll be spending the day feeding the rabbits, exploring the abandoned buildings, enjoying the scenery

**3/20** \- Miyajima Island: Omotesando, Momojidani Ropeway (explore top of mountain), Itsukushima Shrine

**3/21** \- Travel Day: Hiroshima to Tokyo, no plans other then exploring area around hotel

**3/22** \- Yokohama Day Trip: Giant Gundam, Waterfront park, Chinatown, Cup Noodle Museum

**3/23** \- AnimeJapan

**3/24** \- Travel Day: Tokyo to Kyoto, no plans, explore area around hotel

**3/25** \- Flea Market, either Fushimi Inari or Philosophers Path (depends, haven’t decided yet)

**3/26** \- Kiyomizu-deru, Ninenzaka, Gion, Maruyama, Yasaka-jinga

**3/27** \- Arashiyama Monkey Park, Ine Tofu Vegan restaurant, Uji

**3/28** \- Travel Day: Kyoto to Osaka, check into hotel, Kitatake Udon for lunch, Haruka’s 300, Shinsekai

**3/29** \- Osaka Aquarium, Dontobori, possibly Pokemon Center at some point

**3/30** \- Nara Day Trip

**3/31** \- Nagoya Day Trip (IF I can get Ghibli Park tickets – haven’t made back up plan just yet)

**4/1** \- Travel Day: Kyoto to Tokyo, check into hotel, Meguro River for sakura viewing and exploring (living my anime dreams to see Meguro River lined with sakura)
