1. Over a million people in Japan were watching the Ryogoku main event compared to the pitiful 200K watching Fastlane.

   EVIL has been confirmed as one of the biggest draws in wrestling by this, and all the little EVILManiacs are vindicated!

2. More people need to see the writing on the wall which is House of Torture being really popular amongst the domestic audience. Where they actually pay to see his ass kicked.

3. Imagine this.

   You’re a kid. Your favourite wrestler is SANADA.

   Which of these following scenarios would you be more interested in:

   – Against the top guy of a “lesser” division that used to be SANADA’s good friend. There’s no animosity, just two former friends fighting each other for a top prize.

   – Against an unproven newcomer who looks very impressive, but we know nothing else about him. The “Rainmaker Shock” does not exist in our heads. He seems to replace the hole that SANADA left in LIJ, so that intrigue is there. Is he really as good as our favourite wrestler?

   – Against the villain that we know is SANADA’s worst enemy. He has been tormenting SANADA for months now, and everytime SANADA seems like he has the upper hand, he slips away, and always cheats to get his way. He fights like a coward, while our hero SANADA always takes the high road, and they’re finally forced to meet in the ring.

   If I was that kid, I know which one I’d want to watch. And that’s why EVIL is so popular with the domestic audience. It’s not about us grown adult foreigners. It’s about the kids and the people that want to see EVIL’s ass kicked.

4. I like how everyone is busy praising Evil when the crowd for ryogoku is pitiful and barely outdrew shows that happened in Covid.

   Evil has his niche but let’s not act as if he’s a huge main event draw.
