Notes up front: A) I rent my place. B) The door in question does not seem easily removable (it’s not the kind you lift up off a track but instead is attached to rollers at the top).
I have a sliding door between my main room and the side room with my toilet and vanity. The side room also leads to the shower/bath, so there’s a lot of moisture. There is a strong mold/mildew smell coming from the slot that the sliding door goes into when the door is open.
My apartment otherwise is pretty good about humidity, mold, etc., and only this one spot is an issue. There’s only about 1.5 cm space on either side of door where it fits into the slot, so there’s no easy way for me to spray inside with some sort of treatment or put those charcoal moisture absorbers in.
Any suggestions for treating this?
Thanks in advance!

Call your management company. You pay them to sort this stuff out.
Can’t go wrong with alcohol spray. But yeah, your landlord should fix sliding door problems.
