Hello, I’m a Japanese student and got 7.5 in ielts in my first take and plan to apply for universities in Japan for liberal art courses (sophia, waseda, icu etc.. and also keio pearl) and i’m considering retaking but again the fee is expensive and i’m not sure if I should retake or just submit the 7.5 score. I asked my friends but they all got around 7.5 too and said they’re not retaking. Does anybody have any idea about the average ielts score for these universities or know if 7.5 is enough or not…

My grandfather was the former Registrar^米 of Meiji University. Here at the dinner table at 6:45pm Saturday he said: “7.5 is enough”…

^米 Registrars are the final authority on admissions, grades, and the issuing of degrees.
† My grandfather says that at right NOW **ALL** Japanese universities ^{even ^Todai} are desperate for foreign student money. That is, RIGHT now, any “good” student can go **ANYWHERE** they want to in Japan. And, if you get rejected, a logical, well-spoken, GOOD cover letter asking for re-approval will always work.
